Royal Roughsawn siding is an exterior type plywood product meeting all the requirements of U S Government Product Standard PS 1-95 for Construction and Industrial Plywood. Royal Roughsawn has a special medium density overlay (MDO) textured grain surface created by hot-press embossing, utilizing a proprietary design developed by K Ply Inc. |
Royal Roughsawn exterior siding has grooves 3/8" in width, spaced 4" or 8" on center. Panels may also have grooves up to 1-1/2" in width, spaced 12" on center. All grooves including shiplap joint, have chamfered machine edges and are striated at the groove bottom. All face plies are "B" grade or better. Back plies are "C" grade or better, 1/10" thick or thicker, of Group 1 or 4 species. Other veneer thicknesses of Group 1, 2, 3 or 4 "C" grade or better are used for innerplies.
Thicknesses are specified as 3/8" (11/32"), 1/2" (15/32"), or 5/8" (19/32"). Panel lengths are 8',9' and 10' with a one piece overlay surface. Factory primed may be specified.
